Morning Walk
Dew's more like a dusting.
Droplets of early snow
Glitter on colored leaves.
Morning sun follows fog.
The smell of wood burning
enters my nose, exits
like smoke from my nostrils
while my cheeks, bitten by
wind, turn red. A healthy
look I'm told and so is
my early morning walk
In late October's cold.
